The bar where the staff knows your name and your drink is waiting. These are the moments people live for, plan around, and talk about long after they happen. Social, celebratory, spontaneous, and deeply personal. And right now, technology plays almost no role in making those experiences better.

Union is building a levitational on-premise consumer experience. One so seamless, so personal, so rewarding, and so memorable that guests start choosing where they go based on whether it’s a Union-powered location. Not because of a discount. Because the experience itself is that good.
We’re hiring a Consumer Product Manager to help build this vision. Today our consumer app is a solid utility: guests discover venues, manage tabs, order, earn Union Rewards, and build Union Status. That’s the foundation. What comes next is yours to shape, build, test, and iterate into something the hospitality industry has never seen.
You’ll report directly to the CEO, work hands-on with engineering, design, and data, and contribute to something genuinely category-defining. This is a consumer product opportunity that doesn’t come around often: a wide-open category, real scale, and a data foundation most consumer companies spend years trying to earn.
What You’ll Own
The consumer experience vision
Contribute to and help shape what it feels like to be a Union guest, across every occasion and touchpoint, from the moment someone decides where to go to the moment they’re already planning the next one.
The consumer product roadmap
Every touchpoint in the guest journey: how guests find and enter a venue (launch points, waitlist, line leap), how they order and run a digital tab, how they earn Union Rewards with every transaction, and how they build Union Status, the recognition that follows them everywhere they go. You’ll prioritize, ship, and iterate across all of it.
Personalization at scale
Using Union’s first-party behavioral data to build an experience that is seamless, personal, rewarding, and memorable. An experience that knows guests, anticipates what they’ll love, and gets smarter with every visit. Union Rewards makes every transaction feel valuable. Union Status makes every guest feel recognized.
The consumer-brand connection
Union’s advertising and media products, including sponsored offers, brand discovery, personalized promotions, and sampling programs, live inside the consumer experience. You’ll ensure they feel native and valuable to the guest, not like ads. This is how Union connects brands to consumers at the exact point of purchase, and it’s central to the platform you’re building.

Ship fast, measure ruthlessly, kill what doesn’t work, double down on what does. You bring the experimentation rigor that turns good instincts into great products.
The voice of the consumer
You’re in the venues, watching real behavior, talking to real guests, and turning what you learn into a product that feels built by someone who genuinely loves going out.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years building consumer products with measurable impact on behavior, not just features that shipped on time. Work you’re proud of. Numbers that back it up.
- Background at a consumer app, marketplace, or platform where engagement and retention were the scoreboard. Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, entertainment, or social platforms is a genuine plus. Passion for the on-premise experience is a requirement.
- A real test-and-learn operator: you define success before building, run structured experiments, and make hard calls when the data points somewhere uncomfortable.
- Consumer instincts backed by field research: you talk to users, watch real behavior, synthesize both, and make decisions with conviction.
- Fluency in how consumer advertising and brand discovery products work inside an app: what makes them feel additive versus interruptive, and how to build the experience so the guest, the venue, and the brand all win.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage product work. You write the playbook. You don’t wait for one.
- A genuine, specific point of view on what a world-class on-premise hospitality experience looks like. And the energy and craft to build it.
