This guest-led service lets your guests view a digital menu, order, and pay from their own devices. The order is tied to the table they tapped at, allowing items to be delivered to their exact location. When low on staff, you can also notify guests through SMS to pick up their order at the bar.

This service model allows guests to start a digital tab on their phones, view a digital menu, and close out their tabs when ready. Guests will still order with the bartender or server. Guests are also eligible for Union’s Rewards program with this model.
- Guests tap or scan QR codes to open digital tabs with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card
- Full names appear on the app screen immediately, so guests can show their name to the bartender
- Guests can view an always up-to-date digital menu with images and product descriptions
- All tips and payments happen in the app, and walked tabs can have gratuity applied at the end of the night. No more entering tips!
- This experience can be tied to a table number to support efficient tableside service via POS on iPhone
Suggestion: Have someone at the door check IDs and introduce this digital tab option to guests to secure payment upfront and eliminate the headaches for your staff to open and close tabs. Remind guests to look for Rewards and order the recommended item with the bartender to receive the credit.
REWARDS FUNDED BY UNION
Union’s Rewards program is a unique feature to Union’s guest-led digital experience to drive enhanced experiences for Union app users and mobile adoption for your venue.
No other platform provides this. Rewards are fully funded by Union and are fully automated based on product availability at your venue and guest behavior. Guests with a reward will receive a credit reducing their total tab, yet bar will still receive full price for the drink (since Union instantly funds 100% of the reward amount). The data shows over and over that when guests are able to order when they want and receive rewards via the Union guest-led experience, they spend more, leave higher tips, and come back more often.
