OpenTable Integration (Now in Beta)

We’re excited to announce our real-time OpenTable integration, is finally here. With this new integration, your hosts can see exactly where each table is in their dining journey—from appetizers to payment—right in the OpenTable platform. This real-time visibility enables smarter seating decisions, smoother service, and an elevated experience for your guests.  — If you are interested in joining the beta, please reach out to Becky on our product team – Becky.Groffman@getunion.com. 


Total Amount Tip Entry

We’ve simplified the tip entry process for staff with a new total amount calculator. Now when entering tips, you can simply input the total check amount on the “Enter Tips Screen” and the system will automatically calculate the tip – no mental math required. This speeds up end-of-shift processes and reduces potential calculation errors.


Guest Count Improvements

We’ve refined our guest count tracking system to provide more accurate reporting. The improvements resolve an issue where guest counts were incorrectly duplicating when checks were split, and update the counting logic to only include seats with ordered items. These changes ensure more precise guest metrics and prevent over-inflation of guest counts in your reporting.


Employee Performance Report  

We’re introducing a comprehensive Employee Performance Report to help track key server metrics and streamline tax reporting. The report provides detailed insights into average check values, per-person averages (PPA), and various tip percentages. Managers can now easily monitor table turn times and tip performance standards, while also generating data for IRS Form 8027 tip reporting requirements.


Ticket Details: Combined Item View

We’ve streamlined the invoice viewing experience in the Manager Portal with a new combined items feature. When viewing ticket details in the manager portal, you can now consolidate identical items into a single line entry, transforming lengthy catering invoices into concise, professional documents. This update helps create cleaner, more customer-friendly invoices that are easier to review and share.

Menu Item Search Mobile

We’ve improved the menu item search experience for iOS mobile users to help guests find exactly what they’re looking for, faster. The enhanced search functionality now delivers more accurate results when searching through venue menus, making it easier to locate specific items.
