The Role
This is a revenue-generating partnership role, not a traditional enterprise sales seat. You’ll own the full cycle of identifying, pitching, closing, and managing brand and data partnerships across Union’s advertising and media products. The motion is consultative and relationship-driven: you’re cultivating ongoing accounts, not hunting one-off deals. Day one, you’ll have live products to sell and warm intros to build from. Over time, you’ll help shape what we build by identifying what the market actually wants to buy.
What You’ll Do
- Own outbound prospecting and inbound qualification for Union’s advertising and data products, including sponsored menu placements, sampling programs, offer carousels, and first-party data partnerships.
- Build and manage a pipeline of brand, agency, and performance marketing partners, primarily in food & beverage, lifestyle, and consumer categories.
- Run the full sales cycle from first touch to signed agreement. Structure deals, negotiate terms, and close.
- Manage active accounts post-close. This is a relationship-driven motion where retention and expansion matter as much as new logos.
- Manage dedicated implementation and analytics function focused on execution and campaign performance analytics to support you.
- Collaborate with product and leadership to translate market feedback into actionable product and packaging insights. If something isn’t sellable, say so and tell us what would be.
- Represent Union at industry events, in pitch meetings, and in rooms where your energy and conviction about the product move people.
- Partner with Union’s data and analytics team to build compelling cases and performance narratives for prospects and existing clients.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years in digital media sales, ad sales, or brand partnerships. Think DoorDash, Instacart, Uber, Yelp, or similar platforms where you’re selling advertising or media products to brands and agencies. Not SaaS. Not enterprise software.
- Experience with account management or consultative sales motion. You know how to grow relationships, not just close and move on.
- A working understanding of performance marketing, new consumer acquisition, and how brands measure ROI on media spend.
- Strong enough commercially to structure creative deal terms and push back when something doesn’t make sense for either side.
- You walk into a room and people pay attention. Not because you’re loud, but because you’re sharp, prepared, and genuinely excited about what you’re selling.
- Comfortable operating at a growth-stage company where you’ll build the playbook, not inherit one.
- CPG, alcohol, or hospitality brand relationships are a bonus, not a requirement.
