The Role
Union is ready to go bigger. The platform is built. The scale is real. And now it’s time to up-level our brand and define this category for good.
We’re hiring a Creative Lead to make that happen. You’ll own the full creative expression of Union’s brand, elevating our visual identity, sharpening how we come to market, and building the creative engine that makes Union impossible to ignore. Every operator, agent, and partner who encounters Union should feel it immediately.
You’ll own it end to end. Visual identity, video, imagery, design, every touchpoint. You set the standard, you build to it, and you push it further.
This is our first dedicated creative hire. Think associate creative director with full ownership and no one to hand work off to. You concept it, you build it, you ship it. If you have a strong point of view on what a great brand looks and feels like and you want to put your fingerprint on something category-defining, this is that seat.
What You’ll Own
Brand identity and visual direction
You own the visual expression of Union’s brand: what it looks like, how it sounds, and how it makes people feel. You’ll build and maintain the brand standards, design system, and creative guidelines that ensure we show up consistently and powerfully across every channel. You’ll take what we’ve built and push it further, making Union’s brand as bold, memorable, and category-defining as the platform behind it.
Video concepting and production
You’ll concept, produce, and edit video content end-to-end: brand films, social reels, product demos, event recaps, testimonials, and motion graphics. You have a strong point of view on what we shoot, how we shoot it, and how it makes people feel. You own the full video workflow from brief through final cut, and you’ll develop the repeatable playbook that lets us scale video output without sacrificing quality. You’ll get into venues, capture real content on-site, and turn what you find into creative that feels authentic because it is.
Imagery and visual storytelling
You’ll define and direct Union’s imagery style, whether that’s photography art direction, AI-generated visuals, or curated sourcing. Every image should earn its place. You’ll build the visual asset library that the full team draws from and translate the energy of real hospitality venues into imagery that resonates with operators, excites the industry, and makes guests feel something.
Marketing and sales execution
You’ll translate Union’s brand into the collateral that drives the business: pitch decks, one-pagers, sell sheets, social content, email graphics, event materials, and agent and partner co-branded assets. You’ll also build scalable templates in Figma and Canva so the broader team can create on-brand content independently, multiplying creative output without multiplying headcount.
AI-accelerated creative workflow
You’ll use AI creative tools to accelerate output across design, imagery, and video, knowing exactly where they help and where human creative judgment is irreplaceable. You’re not threatened by these tools. You’re the person who knows how to get the most out of them while keeping the creative bar high.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years in a creative lead, brand, or design role, ideally at a B2B SaaS, hospitality tech, or fast-moving startup. A portfolio that spans video, imagery, and design and shows both strategic brand thinking and hands-on execution. Work you’re proud of.
- Proven video production experience from brief through final cut. You’ve concepted, shot, and edited content, not just briefed it out. Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent is required.
- Expert-level in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong imagery instincts across art direction, AI image tools, and visual curation. You know what earns its place on the page and what doesn’t.
- A maker mentality. You get energy from building things, not directing others to build them. Strong point of view, fast hands, ship today and sharpen tomorrow.
- Comfort in a fast-moving environment where you’re building and shipping simultaneously. You write the playbook as you go. You don’t wait for one.
- Willingness to visit Union venues and client accounts on-site to capture content, observe real operations, and develop creative that’s rooted in the hospitality experience.
- A genuine, specific point of view on what a great brand looks and feels like in the hospitality space. Not a resume talking point. The thing that drives the extra effort when the work needs to be right.
