“Your Order Is Ready” Customer Notifications

Notify your guests when their order is ready

For Guest Led and To-Go orders that have a phone number attached to the check, you can now send a text message notifying the customer that their order is ready for pickup directly from your Point of Sale or Kitchen Display System. 

 

For Guest Led Orders, you don’t even need to manually enter a phone number, because every customer has one attached to their check by default!

 

It’s simple.

 

Send a text from Union Point of Sale
Simply long-press on the check name for any Union check and press “Notify Customer”

 

You’ll see the phone icon turn green to indicate that the notification has been sent.

 

Send a text from Union KDS
Sending a customer notification text from the KDS is easy. Just navigate to the closed ticket, long press the top, and press “Notify Customer”. This will send a text directly to the customer that the order is ready for pickup or is headed out to them.

 

Set up text notifications now
To set up your notification system, please follow the steps below.

 

In your Union Manager Portal:

– Navigate to the Settings section

– Click on the Online Ordering page in the Settings section

– Scroll down, and click the toggle to activate customer notifications
– Add your “Pickup Location” in the field that appears after activating notifications
– Start making orders and sending notifications from your POS or KDS!
