Product Marketing Lead (Austin)

Full Time

Austin, TX

Job Description

We are adding a Product Marketing Lead (Manager/Sr. Manager) to our team to help us re-define the POS category for high-volume bars and restaurants. Reporting to the CMO, you will be a key player in Union’s go-to-market strategy, crafting compelling messaging, creating high-impact sales enablement & training materials, and launching campaigns that drive awareness and adoption of our cutting-edge hospitality technology platform.

As our founding Product Marketing Lead, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the hospitality industry and help us make this function a lever of our success in re-defining the POS category. In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Product, Onboarding/Activation and Operations to develop product messaging and content that educates the industry on how Union’s offerings solve pain points and drive success for high-volume bars, restaurants, their staff, their guests, and beverage brands. You will position Union as the innovative solution venues have been waiting for. Union brings a venue operating system (VOS) to market that empowers high-volume bars & restaurants to maximize their potential, while delivering exceptional guest experiences and unlocking valuable on-premise consumption insights for beverage brands.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Build and develop a best-in-class Product Marketing function to support and drive Union’s product and feature adoption among high-volume bars and restaurants in the US.
  2. Develop product positioning, value propositions, and key messaging to be used in supporting product launches, marketing campaigns, sales enablement tools and training materials.
  3. Develop & execute the GTM rollout and strategy for all new products and features, including beta testing, team trainings and communication strategy to drive adoption in conjunction with Product.
  4. Plan, create, and publish partner-facing content to support product adoption, such as one-pagers, emails, blog posts, website copy, social media assets, global communication tools and more.
  5. Collaborate with Sale, Operations and B2B Marketing teams to drive sales productivity through product knowledge transfer, seller collateral, and value-based talk tracks.
  6. Support and aid our development and management of implementation partners based on sales needs, customer needs, and competitive options.
  7. Own and maintain a process to build and share competitive insights to propel our messaging and sales differentiation
  8. Build capabilities to drive data and insights into buyer/customer needs and market opportunities to inform new product features, marketing, and sales strategies.
  9. Own and support our product communications to partners, keeping them engaged and informed.
  10. Update website product pages to ensure they are informative, engaging, and optimized for conversion.
  11. Build compelling case studies that showcase our success stories and demonstrate value to prospects.
  12. Partner with our Product team to deliver feedback and suggestions to develop best-in-class products that drive our mission.

Key Requirements:

  1. 5-7 years of experience in a Product Marketing function, ideally with SaaS or hospitality tech experience.
  2. Proven track record of developing effective product messaging and sales enablement materials.
  3. Experience in conducting competitive intelligence and using insights to inform product marketing strategies.
  4. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with sales and product teams.
  5. Ability to create value propositions that communicate clearly to targeted audiences.
  6. Ability to build positive relationships while working across a variety of personalities.
  7. Problem solver who can think outside the box and develop solutions that scale.
  8. Ability and desire to take risks and learn fast; startup experience is a plus.
  9. Highly organized and self-motivated, but also collaborative and able to work with a team.
  10. Willing to roll up sleeves and get the work done, not just talk about the solutions.
  11. Confident and adaptable, passionate about our mission and working in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Experience in working in the hospitality industry desired (we want you to understand our customers – owners, GMs, bartenders, and customers!).
