Union is seeking an Operations Manager to join our growing team on a mission to move the hospitality experience forward for high-volume bars & restaurants with technology that enables everyone to win. In this role, you will own the strategy and execution of our Account Management team, partnering with venues to drive the adoption of Union’s platform nationally. When venues adopt our platform and guest-led service model, they see more than a 20% increase in sales per labor hour and a 28% increase in check size. That means more money for venues and more tips for their waitstaff!
In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to drive increased adoption of our guest led ordering product. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable formulating high-level strategy while also spending time side-by-side with our venue partners. You should be highly analytical with a bias towards action. This role will report directly to our Head of Operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage a remote team of Account Managers spread across the country with the goal of driving increased adoption of our guest-led ordering product
- Identify the need for and drive the creation of new processes to streamline cross-functional engagement
- Develop and test strategies to drive increased revenue across our venue partner portfolio
- Recruit and hire a rapidly growing team of Account Managers as we expand across the country
- Work closely with our Marketing team to support the use of venue-based communications to support product adoption and feature awareness in conjunction with product and brand teams
- Oversee a portfolio of nearly 1,000 venues across the country with a focus on white-glove customer experience
- Drive or influence cross-functional sprints to accelerate the growth of the business including hardware, product, support, customer experience, and brand revenue
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in a strategy, operations, or biz ops role at fast-paced startups
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Ability to lead and influence in a cross-collaborative environment
- Familiarity with building Google Sheets, SQL, HubSpot, and Tableau
- Experience building and managing remote teams
- Ability to build positive relationships while working across a variety of personalities
- Problem solver who can think outside the box and develop solutions that scale
- Ability and desire to take risks and learn fast; startup experience is a plus
- Highly organized and self-motivated, but also collaborative and able to work with a team
- Confident and adaptable, passionate about our mission and working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in the hospitality industry desired (we want you to understand our customers – owners, GMs, bartenders and customers!)
